Japanique Jacket (Free Size Kimono Jacket)
This free size, Japanique Jacket is a single color - a mossy green - with a woven texture that seems to imitate pine needles.
Nice weight, firm drape. Great as a jacket over jeans.
And there's a hidden pocket in the seam on the front right side!
Each Japanique Jacket starts out as a vintage michiyuki, which is a narrow jacket with snap closures meant to be worn on top of a kimono. Most vintage michiyuki won't fit larger frames, so we modified the traditional garment slightly (removed the snaps and tacked the panels back to create lapels) to make a roomier, open, flowing jacket that can fit sizes 12-18.
Our Japanique Jackets can also be crossed over and belted on a smaller sized person. *Belt is not included.
These are all one-of-a-kind jackets, so sizing will vary slightly, see measurements given.
