Delightful floating leaf design - perfect for Fall. The golden leaves look so real!
A splattering of white dots on the orange background - like the first snowfall in November? And behind the yellow leaves are echos of the same leaf shape.
The mottle dyework behind the leaves is also masterful and adds depth to the design.
Each Japanique Jacket starts out as a vintage michiyuki, which is a narrow jacket with snap closures meant to be worn on top of a kimono. Most vintage michiyuki won't fit larger frames, so we modified the traditional garment slightly (removed the snaps and tacked the panels back to create lapels) to make a roomier, open, flowing jacket that can fit sizes 12-18. Our Japanique Jacket could also be crossed over and belted on a smaller sized person. These are all one-of-a-kind jackets, so sizing will vary slightly, see measurements given.
