LOVELY...TWO SILVER / SILVER PLATE SERVING PIECES.. 1950 TO 1970.ONE IS A HANDLED, DOUBLE POUR SAUCE DISH
ONE IS A HANDELESS, ROUND SAUCE DISH.
I HAVE NEVER POLISHED THEM SINCE THEY BOTH CAME TO ME IN THE EARLY 1970'S.
THE HANDLED SAUCE IS 1950'S.. IT IS WITHOUT ANY MAKERS MARK. IT HAS A TWO SIDED POUR AND A BAKELITE HANDLE. IT IS HEAVY AT 12.7 OUNCES. I BOUGHT THIS USED IN THE EARLY 1970'S. IT HAS PRESIDED IN A GLASS CABINET FOR THE LAST 40 YEARS. IT COULD USE A POLISH BUT IT IS IN VERY GOOD CONDITION, WITH SOME LIGHT TARNISH AROUND THE BOWL. NO SCRATCHES, DINGS DENTS ETC. THE HANDLE IS IN GOOD CONDITION. NO PROBLEMS.
IT IS 2 3/4" TALL. THE DISTANCE BETWEEN POUR SPOUTS IS 6 3/4". TIP TO TIP.
THERE IS DECORATION AROUND THE BASE. HANDLE IS 3" LONG. IT IS HEAVY AT 12.7 OUNCES SO IS IT SILVER? SEE ALL PHOTOS AND ZOOM IN.
THE PEDESTAL SMALL SAUCE BOWL IS 3 1/4" ACROSS THE BASE. 4 1'2 " ACROSS THE TOP. WEIGHT IS 5.8 OUNCES. IT IS MARKED REED AND BARTON # 101. THE SILVER PLATE IN VERY GOOD CONDITION. IT WAS A GIFT TO ME IN THE 1970'S AND CAME FROM A CIVIL WAR HERITAGE SITE IN THE EAST. I NEVER USED IT. NO SCRATCHES, DINGS, DENTS, RUST, ETC.THERE IS THE BEGINNING OF A PATINA LIKE TARNISH AND SO IT WOULD NEED A POLISH TO SPARKLE AND SHINE.
THESE ARE 2 NICE PIECES OF OLDER SILVER / PLATE..
THEY ARE COLLECTIBLE, USABLE AND NICE TO DISPLAY. THEY NEED A GOOD HOME.
I AM NOW AN OLD LADY WHO CANNOT KEEP SO MANY SPECIAL 'THINGS'. I DESCRIBE THE VERY BEST I CAN, WARTS AND ALL. YOUR SATISFACTION IS IMPORTANT TO ME,
PLEASE LOOK AT ALL THE PHOTOS AND ZOOM IN. READ THE TEXT, AND ASK YOUR QUESTIONS. RETURNS ARE A EXPENSIVE NUISANCE.
