Description

Cowboy cuffs appeared in photographs and in saddlery catalogs in the 1890s. The first cuffs were simple and tied around a cowboy’s wrist with leather laces.
These cone-shaped bracelets served two functions. One was to protect the cowboy’s shirt sleeves. Because clothing was expensive, investing in cuffs was wise. More importantly, however, cuffs protected wrists from kicking hooves around a branding fire much the same way the high top boots helped protect the lower leg and ankle from horse and cow kicks.
Over time, these wrist cuffs caught on as another unique cowboy accessory and fashion statement.
These cowboy leather wrist cuffs are handmade by myself, personally, and they are beautifully tooled and decorated with two rows of silver rivets. Heavy-duty vegetable leather to withstand many years of use.
The cuffs are stained in a beautiful rich saddle brown and antiqued to enhance the natural grain of the leather and to greatly emphasize tooling and stamping.
Buy them for yourself or as a gift for that special cowboy/cowgirl!
