Feather Fletching- Vintage Japanese Dochugi Kimono Jacket
This is a dochugi style jacket, which crosses over in the kimono style (unlike the haori style which hangs open in the front). But instead of needing an obi, it closes with inner and outer ties, which can be tied loosely to allow for a more generous fit. Where haori are best for up to a size 12, dochugi can fit up to a size 16+.
A light, summery, unlined kimono jacket with a small repeated patterning of arrow fletching - a very common Japanese motif. This design alternates a tangerine and cream color to create almost a checkerboard effect. The tag says it is 50% silk, 45% cotton (it doesn't say what the other 5% is!) and the lining is 100% polyester.
